Senior Compliance Specialist – Governance & Reporting

Responsible for defining, leading, and continuously improving compliance governance, management information and reporting across Swift, supporting oversight and delivery of key regulatory change initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executive & Board Reporting:
    • Own the end‑to‑end Compliance reporting cycle for all stakeholders.
    • Own the narrative to Executive Management and the Board.
    • Partner with the CCO and senior stakeholders across Legal, Compliance and Risk.
  • Compliance Committee:
    • Run the Committee end‑to‑end (agenda, submissions, minutes, follow‑up).
    • Maintain governance discipline around escalation paths, decision records and action tracking.
    • Maintain terms of reference and periodic reviews.
  • Quality, Insight & Narrative:
    • Own the management information framework.
    • Lead collation and validation of data.
    • Draw out key themes, emerging risks and issues.
    • Set high standards for data quality and reporting discipline.
  • Capability Maturity:
    • Define and embed working standards for Governance and Reporting.
    • Continuously improve the Committee and reporting approach.
    • Document and maintain processes, procedures, templates and playbooks.
    • Assess tools and data capabilities.
  • Leadership:
    • Lead and develop the Governance & Reporting team.
    • Support governance and delivery tracking for regulatory change initiatives.
    • Act as senior partner to Compliance, Risk, Legal and business teams.
    • Lead key initiatives and workstreams across Compliance.

Experience & Profile

  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in Compliance, Risk or Governance.
  • Proven track record engaging Executive Management and Board‑level audiences.
  • Strong ability to translate complex topics into decision‑relevant narratives.
  • Experience owning management information and reporting, defining metrics and improving data quality.
  • Comfortable with data, reporting processes and analytical tools.
  • Experience supporting cross‑functional regulatory or compliance change initiatives.
  • Builder’s mindset: enjoy improving operating models, setting standards.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and evolving expectations.
  • Strong influence and challenge at senior level with credibility.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and high‑quality delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
