Anopportunity has arisen for a GP to join our forward thinking friendly GPPractice. Our Practice cares for approximately 4500 patients who are central toall we do. This position is for 4 sessions per week (Thursday and Friday). Ifyou feel that you are suited to this position then we would love to hear fromyou.
Main duties of the job

- As a key member of the Team, you will manage a case load, dealing with a wide range of presenting health care needs in a primary care setting.
- You will work with clinical colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care are provided for all registered and temporary patients.
- You will also contribute to planning and decision making as a part of the wider practice team.
- Telephone and face to face appointments
- Home visits
- On call cover
- Review of lab results, referrals, EPS
- Engaging in QOF and meeting clinical governance targets

Job responsibilities
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range ofhealth needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of carefor all registered patients.
Clinical responsibilities:
In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holderwill make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, includingsurgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patientsat home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries,paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presentingproblems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workerswithin the organisation
Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated andundiagnosed problems
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs ofillness
Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and inline with current practice disease management protocols
Providing counselling and health education

- MRCGP
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in General Practice - Post CTT
