Support Worker
Location: Kirby Cross, Essex
Salary: £14.00 per hour (£27,300 per annum)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week 5 days per week, every other weekend
Shift Pattern: 07:00 14:30 / 14:30 22:00

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to a gentleman with Autism in his own home and within the local community. You will help promote independence, encourage meaningful engagement, and ensure he feels safe, respected, and supported.

• Provide tailored support based on individual needs, preferences, and routines
• Support the gentleman to access the community and take part in activities he enjoys
• Promote independence, confidence, and personal wellbeing
• Build a positive and trusting relationship through consistent support
• Encourage meaningful engagement while respecting dignity and choice
• Work alongside colleagues to provide excellent standards of care

About You

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and compassionate individual who is passionate about supporting people to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible.

• Essential experience supporting people with Autism
• Previous experience with trauma-informed care is highly desirable
• Calm, patient, and understanding approach
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for care
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team
• Full UK Driving Licence is required and applicants must reside within the Essex area
