Shunters Assistant

Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a Shunter Assistant to work for our client in Rotherham.

Any applicant must be able to strap loads, pull back and close curtainside on trailers and be prepared for busy periods at various points throughout the day.

Hours of work:

• Monday to Friday
• 06.00hr 18.00hr ( 45 mins break deducted for lunch )

Salary:

• £13.20 plus £1.60ph for holiday pay (£14.80) total inclusive of holiday pay)
• Based on a 56.25 hour work week: £742.50 + £90.00 accrued holiday pay. We can roll this in with your hourly rate if preferred.

The Role:

• Assisting the driver
• Pulling back and fastening curtains
• Securing and strapping load
• Loading and unloading trailer
• This is a temporary position but could lead to ongoing work.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Carrying out all duties as required by our client
• To complete all work related paperwork (if required) in full as required by the client

Essential Skills:

• MUST be willing to work outdoors for the full day.
• MUST be prepared for physically demanding work.
• Good communication skills.
• Good customer relations
