- Supporting pupils with ASC, SLCN and SEMH to access learning and achieve their full potential.
- Assisting with behaviour management and promoting positive engagement in lessons.
- Working closely with class teachers, the SENCO and the wider SEN Team to deliver personalised support.
- Supporting within the classroom when required, helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or within an SEN setting.
- Experience supporting children with ASC, SLCN, SEMH or other additional needs.
- A patient, resilient and compassionate approach to supporting young people.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
What Academics Can Offer:

- A dedicated Education Consultant with specialist knowledge of the Kent education sector.
- Ongoing support throughout your placement.
If you're an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to join a fantastic primary school where you can make a real impact within a dedicated SEN Team, we'd love to hear from you.
