Job DescriptionThis is an important role that supports patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals by ensuring clinical and non-clinical environments remain clean, safe, and welcoming.About the RoleAs a Domestic Assistant, you will carry out a range of cleaning duties across multiple healthcare sites within the Atlas footprint. You will work in both clinical and non-clinical areas, ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed to recognised standards and in line with health and safety requirements.Due to travel between sites, you must hold a full, current driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.Please note that a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check may be required for this role. Further details will be provided if you are shortlisted for interview.Key ResponsibilitiesVacuum and maintain carpeted areas, including occasional carpet shampooing using specialist equipment.Clean and maintain hard floors through scrubbing, spray cleaning, buffing, and polishing.Carry out high and low-level dusting of surfaces, fixtures, fittings, furniture, and equipment.Clean washrooms, toilets, washbasins, sluice sinks, and sanitary facilities.Replenish consumables including soap, hand towels, and toilet tissue.Clean internal glazing, mirrors, partitions, and door glass.Safely remove and dispose of domestic and clinical waste in accordance with colour-coded waste procedures.Report faults with cleaning equipment and any maintenance issues identified.Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are stored securely when not in use.Assist with stock control and ordering of cleaning materials.Help maintain site security by locking doors, setting alarms, and reporting any concerns.Provide cover at other locations as required.What We're Looking ForWe are seeking individuals who:Have a strong attention to detail and take pride in their work.Can work independently and as part of a team.Are adaptable and flexible in response to changing service needs.Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrate a positive, customer-focused approach.Show initiative and a willingness to learn.Are committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.Understand the importance of confidentiality, health and safety, and infection prevention.Essential RequirementsFull UK driving licence.Access to a vehicle for travel between sites.Ability to work across multiple locations.Commitment to following policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.If you are reliable, hardworking, and passionate about maintaining safe and clean healthcare environments, we'd love to hear from you.
