Principal Consultant (Services Procurement)
Location: Northampton | Working Model: Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home | Contract: Full Time – Permanent | Pay Range: £30k – £40k (dependent on experience) + uncapped commission
Job Overview
We’re looking for a Principal Consultant to join our growing Consultancy+ team, supporting organisations through our Services Procurement offering. This is an opportunity to build a career in a consultative, relationship‑led environment where you’ll work closely with clients to deliver tailored solutions across professional services and consultancy spend.
What is Services Procurement? In simple terms, we provide an end‑to‑end outsourced procurement solution that helps organisations manage their consultancy and professional services spend more effectively – reducing risk, improving value, and lowering costs.
Responsibilities
- Managing and developing existing client relationships
- Handling inbound opportunities and converting demand into projects
- Generating new business through proactive engagement
Qualifications
- Strong relationship‑building and client‑facing experience
- Excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple opportunities
- Proactive mindset and willingness to learn
Preferred Experience
- Sales or business development
- Procurement experience
- Public sector understanding – an understanding of public sector frameworks is particularly useful
- Supplier relationship management
