Head of Infrastructure & Utilities Surveyor

Location: Suffolk / Bury St Edmunds

The Opportunity

  • Lead the delivery of infrastructure, utilities, and energy projects across the region
  • Manage land rights, access, easements, wayleaves, and compensation matters
  • Provide expert advice to landowners affected by infrastructure schemes
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project partners
  • Develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing relationships
  • Oversee project strategy, resourcing, and commercial performance
  • Support, mentor, and develop junior surveyors
  • Drive growth, innovation, and service development within the team

About You

  • Experience in infrastructure, utilities, land rights, rural surveying, or energy projects
  • Solid understanding of landowner representation and infrastructure impacts
  • Confidence managing complex stakeholder relationships
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify and convert opportunities
  • Leadership capability – proven or emerging
  • Ideally MRICS, though equivalent experience is welcomed
  • Collaborative, grounded approach suited to a close‑knit consultancy environment
  • Enjoys autonomy, responsibility, and the chance to shape a service line
