We are recruiting on behalf of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust for aSenior Care Support Worker to join the team at Chestnut Grove Intermediate Care Unit, Killynure House, Carryduff, starting in August 2026. This is a temporary ongoing position for a minimum of 3 months. The role is full-time, working3x 12 hour shifts per week on a rota, including days, waking nights, weekends and public holidays. You'll receive a competitive hourly rate of £15.88 - £23.82 per hour, with enhanced pay for nights, weekends and overtime. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality, person centred care that helps people regain independence after leaving hospital Support the day to day running of the service and help co-ordinate admissions and discharges Assess individual needs, create care plans, and work with other healthcare professionals to support recovery Support, guide and develop team members while promoting good communication and teamwork Ensure safe, high-quality care by following policies, maintaining accurate records, and responding appropriately to incidents or safeguarding concerns What We need From You: Previous experience working with older people in a health or social care setting A good understanding of delivering high-quality, person centred care Knowledge of safe working practices, including medication, safeguarding, and health and safety Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work alongside different professionals Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to the needs of the service What We Will Offer You: A minimum of 28 days paid holiday (pro rata) Free comprehensive and ongoing annual training courses Free uniform if required 24 Hour on call service that can be accessed for emergencies The Next Steps: Contact Ella Milligan or Ronan Lavery at First Choice Belfast Apply Now via the link First Choice is an equal opportunities employer
