Salary: £11,000 - £12,500 - depending on experience.

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded GP practice in Chester, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Salaried GP to join their supportive team on a permanent basis.

The Role

The successful GP will provide high-quality, patient-centred care across a varied clinical workload, including:

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Deliver face-to-face and telephone consultations for acute and chronic conditions
  • Diagnose, treat and manage a broad range of medical presentations
  • Prescribe medications and make referrals where appropriate
  • Provide preventative healthcare advice, including lifestyle interventions, vaccinations and screening
  • Manage same-day urgent appointments and medical emergencies as required

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in line with NHS standards
  • Review and action laboratory results, hospital correspondence and clinical documentation
  • Process referrals to secondary care and community services
  • Undertake medication reviews and authorise repeat prescriptions
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical discussions
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits and QOF/IIF achievement

Our client is a well-established GMS practice serving approximately 12,300 patients near Chester. Rated Good by the CQC, the practice has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality patient care and consistently achieving strong QOF performance.

As an accredited training practice, they work closely with the University of Chester and the Countess of Chester Hospital, supporting both GP registrars and medical students.

The practice is also committed to sustainability through the Greener Practice initiative and works collaboratively as part of the Primary Care Network.

About You

To be considered, you will have:

Essential

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • Inclusion on the NHS Medical Performers List
  • MRCGP (or equivalent qualification)
  • Previous experience working as a Salaried GP or newly qualified GP.
  • Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A patient-centred, compassionate approach to care

Desirable

  • Experience in specialist clinical interests such as minor surgery, family planning or mental health
  • Knowledge of Primary Care Networks and local healthcare pathways
