Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic specialist to work with the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde addiction services, delivering addiction treatment and care for over 10,000 clients. The post is based in Possilpark Health and Care Centre (Northwest Glasgow) and Kirkintilloch Health and Care Centre (East Dunbartonshire) and covers the Northwest Glasgow and East Dun catchment areas.
Hours & Salary
Shift pattern: 9‑5, Monday to Friday.
Salary is pro rata for part‑time hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of patient care.
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings, providing consultant leadership and expertise.
- Manage referrals for opiate and alcohol dependency.
- Contribute to the development of a recovery‑orientated system of care, research projects and teaching initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Full registration with the GMC, MRCPsych or FRCPsych or equivalent and a CCST.
- Eligibility for approval under the Scottish Mental Health Act as an AMP.
- Evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCST or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR), or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview.
