Salaried GP – GP Training Practice

This practice is a salaried GP training practice supported by an experienced partnership team. There are no home visits and 15-minute appointments are standard. It has a high staff retention and the feedback from GPs placed here is consistently excellent, with two of them becoming Partners.

Location

The practice is based in Andover, Hampshire, within commutable distances of Salisbury (approx 20 minutes), Basingstoke (approx 25 minutes), Winchester (approx 30 minutes), and Newbury (approx 30 minutes).

The Practice

• GP Training Practice
• A strong partnership team and salaried GP team with very high staff retention
• Highly experienced Practice Manager who has been there many years
• Partner-owned, purpose-built premises
• Support from specialist prescribing nurses
• Younger patient demographic with below-average elderly population

Your Role

• Salaried GP, 4 to 5 sessions per week
• 13 patients per session including 'quick fix' and minor illness - not all complex pathology
• 15-minute appointments
• Virtually no home visits
• Team approach to on-call - no solo duty
• No enhanced access or extended hours commitments
• Opportunity to develop specialist interests and take on additional responsibilities
• Must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK Performers List

Salary and Benefits

• Dependent on experience, up to £12,000-12,500 per session
• BMA equivalent contract
• 6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
