An excellent opportunityhas arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Salaried GP, to join our established team here at Lawton House Surgery. We providethe full range of NHS General Medical Services to our registered patients, and ouraim is to provide personalised, quality healthcare. As a Salaried GP,you will be supported by, and work with, a diverse multi-skilled professionalteam of clinical and non-clinical friendly staff, providing high quality,person-centred, holistic clinical care to patients registered within the practice.
Main duties of the job
As a Salaried GPyou will be expected to undertake a variety of duties, including surgeryconsultations, telephone consultations, and visiting patients at home, checkingand signing repeat prescriptions, doing triage, and dealing with queries,paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Your weekdays will include workingMondays and Fridays. Furthermore, you will be expected to undertake duty doctorsessions in proportion to your sessions at the practice.
About us
Lawton House Surgery is awell-established and respected practice in the heart of Congleton withapproximately 13,500 patients. We are part of the Congleton and Holmes ChapelPCN and work closely with the NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB. We have 5 GP partners all with multiple roles.We also have a Good rating with the CQC. We have 3 salaried GPs, 4 Practice Nurses and1 HCA. In addition, we have wideradmin and reception teams using their experience to provide workflowoptimisation and efficiencies to release clinical time, all supported by anexperienced forward thinking Practice Management team
Job responsibilities
As a Salaried GP you will have NHS pension enrolment, a robustinduction and ongoing development opportunities, thorough probationary reviewsand feedback, opportunities to develop processes/projects and support training,administrative support, and onsite parking.We have a fully equipped purpose-built premises with a substantialextension and refurbishment; and a local cottage hospital with a comprehensiveOPD, physiotherapy, X-ray and minor injuries unit.
Person Specification
Experience
- We are an EMIS Web practice, utilising a variety of digital technologies (Accrx, MyBotGP). With a progressive approach to the Modern General Practice Model. We work closely with our ARRS staff through the PCN and have a high standard of care for our community and Care Home patients. We would like to enlist an innovative individual with a desire to improve the practice.
- We ae looking for committed candidates with a good work ethic.
- Experience of working in Primary care or a GP practice would be a plus.
Qualifications
- *Hold full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) on the *General Practitioner Register
- *MRCGP
- *Be included on the NHS England medical performers list
- Professional standing - Not be prohibited from providing services due to regulation breaches (e.g., NHS Performers Lists Regulations). Not be suspended from practice by the NHS or from the GMCs list of medical practitioners. Not be subject to any interim suspension orders from the GMC under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983.
- *Have a legal right to work in the UK
- *Disclosure and Barring Service Check - This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975
- *Knowledge of EMIS web and Primary Care systems
- *Experience of Information Governance
- *Care planning and managing EOL patients
