HGV Class 2 Driver – Tipper / Mixer – Motherwell

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Tipper Driver, Mixer Driver, Concrete Mixer Driver, or Truck Driver to join our well-established client based in Motherwell.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £15.00 per hour, immediate starts, ongoing long-term work, full training, and genuine opportunities for development within a supportive and professional transport environment.

Newly qualified HGV Class 2 drivers are welcome to apply – full training and support will be provided.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday
• 06:00 start times
• Day shifts

Rates of Pay

 • £15.00 per hour
• Weekly pay (PAYE – holidays accrued separately)

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

 • Operating and driving Class 2 Tipper or Mixer vehicles safely and efficiently
• Delivering products to business customers, sometimes with assistance from a Driver's Mate
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and carefully
• Carrying out pre and post journey vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with safety regulations
• Following assigned delivery routes and schedules
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
• Completing all paperwork and vehicle defect reporting accurately
• Please note that some handball duties are required

Essential Skills

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

 • Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no IN, DR, DD, or CD endorsement codes
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Good understanding of traffic laws and road safety regulations
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable Experience

 • Previous Tipper or Mixer driving experience would be advantageous
• Previous customer-facing delivery experience would be beneficial
• Previous experience driving commercial vehicles would be desirable

Training Provided

 • Full industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
