Are you passionate about the hair and beauty industry and looking to gain valuable workplace experience? We are seeking a Student Assistant to join our Hair & Beauty department, supporting our Technician and teaching team in creating a clean, organised and professional learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to the smooth running of practical lessons, events and competitions within a busy and supportive department.
In this varied role, you will help prepare salons and treatment rooms for practical sessions, maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, organise equipment and stock, support with laundry and general departmental administration, and assist with open evenings, demonstrations, competitions and student recruitment events. Working as part of the Hair & Beauty team, you will play an important role in ensuring students and staff have the resources they need to succeed while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
The ideal candidate will hold a Level 1 Hairdressing qualification and Level 1 Functional Skills in English and Maths, with a genuine interest in the hair and beauty industry. You will have strong interpersonal skills, enjoy working with people of all ages and be enthusiastic, reliable and organised.
