Part-time Private Family Solicitor

Job description

Take over an established private family caseload with a full handover before maternity leave begins

Work closely with experienced senior lawyers while developing exposure to HNW family matters

Join a friendly, close-knit firm where Director-level progression is a genuine long-term opportunity

If you're an experienced Private Family Solicitor looking for more than just another fee-earning role, this is an opportunity to join a growing specialist family team where your career can develop alongside the business.

You'll receive a full handover of an established caseload of around 40 privately funded matters before taking responsibility for managing them independently. As you settle into the team, you'll also begin supporting on higher-value financial remedy matters, giving you the opportunity to develop your expertise on more complex cases while working alongside experienced colleagues.

Over time, you'll become an integral member of the department, managing a broader caseload of divorce, financial remedy and private children matters while helping supervise junior colleagues and contributing to the continued growth of the team. This is a firm with genuine succession planning in place, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work towards Director level in the future.

The culture is refreshingly different from many traditional family law firms. Created by lawyers who wanted to move away from corporate structures, the environment is open, collaborative and down-to-earth. Everyone has a voice, decisions are made collectively where possible, and colleagues support one another both professionally and personally. If you're looking for a team without egos, where you'll be trusted and valued, you'll feel right at home.
