An excellent opportunity has arisen for anenthusiastic Salaried GP, to join our established team here at Handforth HealthCentre for 3.75 sessions per week. Ideal for portfolio careers. We provide thefull range of NHS General Medical Services to our registered patients, and ouraim is to provide personalised, quality healthcare. As a Salaried GP, you willbe supported by, and work with, a diverse multi-skilled professional team ofclinical and non-clinical friendly staff, providing high quality,person-centred, holistic clinical care to patients registered within thepractice.

This is a permanent role subject to ongoing ARRSfunding arrangements.

Main duties of the job

As a Salaried GP you will be expected to undertakea variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations,and visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, doingtriage, and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timelyfashion. Your weekdays will include working Wednesdays and Fridays.Furthermore, you will be expected to undertake duty doctor sessions inproportion to your sessions at the practice.

About us

Handforth Health Centre is a well-establishedpractice with approximately 10,500 patients. We are part of CHAW PCN (Chelford,Handforth Alderley Edge and Wilmslow practices) and work closely with the NHSCheshire and Merseyside ICB. We have 4 GP partners, 5 salaried GPs, 2, ACPs, 2Practice Nurses and 3 HCA. In addition, we have a large admin and reception teamusing their experience to provide workflow optimisation and efficiencies torelease clinical time, all supported by an experienced forward thinkingPractice Management team.

Job responsibilities

As a Salaried GP you will have NHS pensionenrolment, a robust induction and ongoing development opportunities, thoroughprobationary reviews and feedback, opportunities to develop processes/projectsand support training, administrative support, and onsite parking.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Hold full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) on the General Practitioner Register
• MRCGP
• Be included on the NHS England medical performers list
• Professional standing - Not be prohibited from providing services due to regulation breaches (e.g., NHS Performers Lists Regulations). Not be suspended from practice by the NHS or from the GMCs list of medical practitioners. Not be subject to any interim suspension orders from the GMC under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983.
• Have a legal right to work in the UK
• Disclosure and Barring Service Check - This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975
• Knowledge of EMIS web and Primary Care systems
• Experience of Information Governance
• Care planning and managing EOL patients

Knowledge and Skills

• We are an EMIS Web practice, utilising a variety of digital technologies (Accurx, Lexacom Scribe). With a progressive approach to the Modern General Practice Model. We work closely with our ARRS staff through the PCN and have a high standard of care for our community and Care Home patients. We would like to enlist an innovative individual with a desire to improve the practice.
• We are looking for committed candidates with a good work ethic.
• Experience of working in Primary care or a GP practice would be a plus.
