Consultant Anaesthetist

Job summary

We are seeking a Part‑Time Consultant Anaesthetist in Birmingham to join a small, dedicated team of clinicians. The role involves working one day per week. The full‑time salary for this post is £130,000 per annum for 40 hours per week, and on a pro‑rata basis the part‑time salary will be £32,500 per year.

Job responsibilities

You will be expected to demonstrate pride in the quality of your work, be well versed in clinical governance and audit, and act as a good team player ready to be flexible to meet the needs of the service and colleagues. Quality improvement is a key focus and we welcome innovation and enthusiasm in developing a high‑quality service for patients, including day‑case major arthroplasty pathways, adherence to GIRFT ideals and trialling and introducing new implants.

Qualifications

• Current GMC registration.
• Specialist registration in Anaesthetics.

Experience

• Several years’ experience as an anaesthetist, with at least two of those years in the UK.
