Counterbalance Forklift Driver Waste Management

Shift: 4 on, 4 off (6am - 6pm)
Contract: Full-time, temp to perm
Location:Nottingham

We are recruiting Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join a busy waste management and recycling operation.

You will support the safe and efficient movement of materials around the site, working within a fast-paced industrial environment. This is a hands-on position, and you may also be required to assist with general site and operational duties.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently.

• Load, unload and move recyclable materials around the site.

• Supply materials to the correct processing and storage areas.

• Assist with vehicle loading and unloading.

• Complete daily forklift inspections and report any faults.

• Maintain clean, safe and organised working areas.

• Follow site procedures, risk assessments and health and safety requirements.

• Assist with general site duties when the forklift is not required.

• Work closely with production and yard colleagues to maintain site efficiency.

Skills and experience

• A valid counterbalance forklift licence is essential.

• Previous forklift driving experience in a busy industrial, manufacturing, recycling or warehouse environment.

• Comfortable working around waste and recyclable materials.

• Good awareness of workplace health and safety.

• Reliable and able to work the full 4-on, 4-off shift pattern.

• Physically fit and willing to complete general site duties.

• Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
