Job Context

The Director of Product Management sets a visionary product line direction, fostering innovation, troubleshooting process issues, and promoting cross-functional collaboration. The role also includes the responsibility of optimizing for the company's overall success, influencing industry events, and creating a collaborative and employee-centric work environment.

What You'll Do

  • Craft a compelling vision for product and builds management and cross-functional support for that vision
  • Build a strong team and an environment of innovation and promotes innovation cross-functionally
  • Troubleshoot process issues that are hindering teams
  • Reapply process improvements from one team across other teams
  • Runs a v1 differently than a V12
  • Breaks log jams on lingering decisions
  • Helps the team discern when to apply informed judgment in lieu of data
  • Assigns and enforces decision authority at appropriate levels
  • Optimizes for the company vs. Own product line responsibilities
  • Leads teams to seek out and savor surprises and inconsistencies
  • Effectively leads discussions at all levels of the company, customers, partners and vendors
  • Gain exposure as an influencer in industry events, trade shows, analyst briefings
  • Rebalances resources considering impacts to all stakeholders
  • Creates a desirable team environment and collaboration across teams
  • Continuously gathers employee input and acts quickly on issues
