Workday Integrations Principal Consultant

Job description

The Principal Integrations Consultant will “bridge the gap” between the business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation.

Responsibilities

Become a Workday Integrations expert, with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation. Helps others by driving, organizing and assigning tasks within a project workstream in order to drive efficient completion and achieve project goals. Guide the client through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the client’s unique business requirements at all stages of the project. Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday HCM solution. Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, the project team and the Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project. Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer. Display your hands‑on expertise of the software, including iLoading client data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security. Utilize your technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates via iLoads. Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providing support for shadow assignments. Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to share one’s skills and learnings with others within the organization.

Skills & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years’ experience in Workday integrations, with a strong focus on delivery and implementation. Proven experience leading multiple concurrent projects or workstreams in a consulting environment. Strong hands‑on knowledge of Workday integration technologies (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, RaaS, REST/SOAP). Experience translating business requirements into scalable integration solutions. Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and drive delivery outcomes. Strong understanding of integration frameworks, patterns, and data flows. Experience supporting sales pursuits, estimations, and SOW development. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills. Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on‑site as needed. Eligible for SC Clearance - you must have been a UK resident for the last five years and be legally entitled to work in the UK #LI-Remote
