Job description
Location: London / hybrid
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Reports to: Senior Leadership Team
Level: Head of / Director
This is a rare chance to take the sales reins of one of the best-loved names in home, gift and lifestyle. Established, profitable and genuinely respected across the industry, the business is now investing heavily in growth, and is looking for a commercially driven leader to make it happen. For an ambitious sales leader, it’s a genuine opportunity to lead from the front and shape what comes next.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a broad, high-impact commercial leadership role, with sales at its heart. You’ll own the revenue plan, lead a talented sales team, and hold the key relationships with major retail partners and buyers. E-commerce and international are all part of the remit, but this is fundamentally a sales-first role for someone who wants to lead from the front commercially.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
- Lead the UK and international sales strategy across major accounts, independent retailers and distribution partners.
- Take full ownership of commercial revenue, margin and P&L performance.
- Build and drive a multi-year growth plan with clear sales targets and priority accounts.
- Personally lead senior buyer relationships, high-value negotiations and standout new business wins.
- Build sharp account segmentation and tiering to fuel new business and repeat ordering.
- Set the standard on forecasting, CRM discipline and pipeline visibility.
- Represent the business at major UK and international trade shows.
- Work with an external marketing partner and e-commerce team to keep campaigns and digital channels aligned to sales priorities.
- Shape the international growth plan and open up new territories.
- Lead, coach and grow a team of sales, marketing and e-commerce managers.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Current, active buying contacts within the gift, home and lifestyle industry — essential.
- Substantial senior sales leadership experience within a product-led consumer brand.
- A strong, provable track record of delivering revenue and margin growth.
- Experience owning or materially influencing a commercial P&L.
- Deep knowledge of UK retail, wholesale and key account management.
- International sales or export experience.
- Confidence negotiating with senior buyers and major retail partners.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
- A hands-or close-to-the-trade leader who is just as comfortable in the detail as in the boardroom.
Ideal sectors: giftware, homewares, lifestyle.
WHY THIS ROLE
This business has the reputation, the products and the customer relationships that most brands spend decades trying to build, and it’s now backing a serious growth agenda. For a commercially-minded sales leader, this is the chance to take a brand that’s already loved and help drive its next phase of growth. If that sounds like the platform you’re after, we’d love to hear from you.
