Explainer Volunteer- Ranger's House

Job description

We are looking for volunteers to help us convey the story of our sites through actively engaging with visitors by answering their questions, telling stories about the house or collection, and helping with family trails.

Volunteers play a key role in keeping Ranger’s House open to the public, and support us with the delivery of our visitor offer. You will be based amid the unique Wernher Collection at Ranger’s House and will help bring the site to life by telling stories about the history of Ranger’s House and the 'splendidly ugly’ artworks in the Wernher Collection. You will provide a warm and friendly welcome and help us to protect the collection by invigilating rooms and the collection.

If you wish to develop your skills, you may train to become one of our expert guides and lead highlights tours, and there will be opportunities to increase your knowledge of the House and Collection through training, special events, personal and peer-learning.

Please note, we are hoping to induct new volunteers in August, so please apply as soon as possible if you are interested in the role.
