About the role

We’re looking for a knowledgeable and commercially minded Partner Finance Consultant to provide expert guidance and oversight across our Partner Finance proposition. This includes Business Sale and Purchase (BSP), succession planning, and a range of financing arrangements that support our Partners’ business growth and long-term strategy. Working closely with Partners, the Field Management Team and internal specialists, you’ll play a key role in shaping financial outcomes while ensuring policies, procedures and standard process are clearly understood and applied.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the communication of Partner Finance policies, procedures and structuring guidance to Partners and the Field Management Team
  • Acting as a trusted consultant to assess Partners’ current and future financing needs, including BSP, succession planning and restructuring
  • Supporting Partners through complex business transactions, including business sales, purchases and financing applications
  • Collaborating with internal specialists (Legal, Tax, Accountancy, Regulatory) to deliver effective and compliant solutions
  • Building positive relationships with stakeholders across the Partnership, providing guidance and influencing decision-making
  • Acting as a ‘triage’ point to ensure lending proposals are aligned to policy before progressing to credit committees
  • Supporting more complex transactions and, where required, project managing activity through to completion
  • Finding opportunities for Partners to enhance business value, including growth strategies and future exit planning
  • Contributing to the development of the Partner Finance proposition and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Delivering training, workshops and presentations to promote the Partner Finance offering and build capability within the Field

You’ll be comfortable working with senior stakeholders, influencing decisions and navigating complex financial scenarios with credibility and professionalism. With excellent communication skills and a proactive demeanour, you’ll be driven to deliver high-quality outcomes for Partners while contributing to the ongoing success of the wider business.

Essential skills and experience

  • Solid understanding of financial services, business structures and financing arrangements, with the ability to apply this in a consultative environment
  • Proven ability to build and manage senior stakeholder relationships, influencing outcomes and managing expectations
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience handling complex or sensitive cases
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver clear guidance to a range of audiences

Desirable skills and experience

  • Professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA, Diploma in Financial Services or similar)
  • Experience supporting business transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, succession planning or restructuring
