Class 1 HGV Driver (C+E) - Days

Location: Eggborough, Goole, DN14
Pay: £16.63 per hour
Job Type: Full-time | Temporary with Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Manpower is recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers on behalf of a leading global logistics company based in Eggborough, Goole (DN14). This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering competitive pay, regular Monday to Friday work, and the potential to secure a permanent position.

Shift Start Times

We have a variety of day shift start times available:

• 04:00
• 06:00
• 11:00

Monday to Friday working pattern - enjoy your weekends off!

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you'll be delivering insulation products to building merchants and, on occasion, construction sites across the UK.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Completing Class 1 deliveries safely and efficiently
• Averaging two deliveries per shift
• Operating a curtain-sided trailer
• Opening and securing the trailer curtains to allow customers to unload using a forklift
• Carrying out vehicle safety checks before and after each shift
• Completing and returning all delivery paperwork accurately
• Undertaking occasional backhaul collections
• Driving a modern Renault or Volvo fleet vehicle
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery point
• Following all road transport legislation and health & safety procedures

What We're Looking For

To be considered, you'll need:

• A valid Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 1 driving experience
• Multi-drop delivery experience
• Good knowledge of the UK road network
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements)
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
