Location: Scunthorpe

Pay Rate:£17.50 per hour

Job Type: Ongoing Work

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (Night Shifts)

About the Role

Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers for a well-established client based in Scunthorpe.

This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for straightforward, ongoing night trunking work. The role involves trunking to distribution hubs in Burton-on-Trent or Leicester, with no manual handling required.

Drivers will complete a scheduled trunk run, delivering before approximately 22:00, collecting again around 02:00, before returning to the depot.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete nightly trunk runs to distribution hubs
• Deliver and collect trailers safely and efficiently
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before and after each shift
• Complete delivery paperwork and Proof of Deliveries (PODs) accurately
• Maintain high standards of vehicle care and professionalism
• Comply with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Provide a professional and reliable service at all times

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Minimum 6 months' recent Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Maximum 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only)
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance
