Salary: £17.00 - £17.50 per hour DOE

We are recruiting for a reliable and professional Class 2 HGV Driver to join a successful and well-established plant hire company based in Haddenham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driver with plant delivery experience who enjoys a structured role, working with customers and delivering specialist equipment across London and the South East.

About the Role

Based from the Haddenham depot, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting plant equipment and goods to customer and construction sites across London and the South East.

This is a customer-facing role where you will represent the business professionally, ensuring equipment is delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting plant equipment and goods from customer sites

• Safely loading, securing, transporting, and unloading equipment

• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and in line with company procedures

• Liaising with customers and site teams in a professional manner

• Completing delivery paperwork accurately

• Carrying out vehicle checks and maintaining vehicle cleanliness

• Ensuring compliance with transport legislation, company policies, and health & safety requirements

• Supporting the depot team when required

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence

• Digital tachograph card and up-to-date Driver CPC

• Previous experience delivering plant equipment (highly desirable)

• Good knowledge of safe loading and securing procedures

• Experience driving in London or busy urban environments

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• A reliable, professional, and safety-focused approach

• The ability to work independently and manage your own day

Desirable:

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence

• Experience within plant hire, tool hire, construction, or a similar industry

• Willingness to work occasional weekends or nights out if required
