HGV Class 1 Driver Castle Donington

Weekday & Weekend Shifts Available | Immediate Starts | Up to £24.00 Per Hour

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers on behalf of our client based in Castle Donington (DE74). This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with one of the UK's leading logistics providers, offering weekday and weekend shifts, competitive rates of pay, and immediate starts.

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you'll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of chilled and ambient goods to Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) and customer locations.

The role will involve a mixture of trunking and store deliveries, ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Experience with double deck, curtain-side or refrigerated trailers is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Available Shifts

We have a variety of start times available throughout the week, including:

• Monday to Friday Various day and night start times available.

• Friday Start times between 1:00am and 12:00pm.

• Saturday Afternoon starts available.

• Sunday Day and night start times available.

Regular ongoing work is available for drivers seeking either full-time or weekend-only shifts.

Pay Rates

Monday to Friday

• Days: £18.00 per hour

• Nights: £19.00 per hour

Saturday

• Days: £22.00 per hour

• Nights: £23.00 per hour

Sunday

• Days: £23.00 per hour

• Nights: £24.00 per hour

Duties

• Delivering and collecting chilled and ambient goods.

• Trunking and RDC/store deliveries.

• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.

• Completing all delivery paperwork accurately.

• Working in line with DVSA regulations and Working Time Directive requirements.

• Delivering a professional and courteous service at every customer site.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.

• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.

• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.

• A minimum of 2 years' HGV Class 1 driving experience.

• No more than 6 penalty points.

• No DR, DD or IN endorsements.

• A reliable, flexible and professional approach to work.

• Good communication skills and a strong commitment to safety.

Direct-to-store delivery experience is beneficial but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
