Our client is a leading construction and facilities services organisation delivering complex building services and infrastructure solutions across the UK.


The business supports healthcare estates nationwide, helping to maintain clean, safe, well ventilated and efficiently heated environments that contribute to patient care and recovery. Through proven industry experience and best practice, it also helps healthcare providers reduce energy consumption, carbon emissions and operational waste.


This position sits within the Building Services division and will be based across two major Central London hospital sites. The team is responsible for delivering efficient facilities, healthy working environments and high quality solutions that create a positive, lasting impact for patients, staff and the wider community.


Our client is currently seeking a Programme & Performance Manager to support the Projects and Lifecycle Department with the planning, programming and scheduling of work packages across several workstreams.


Key responsibilities

As Programme & Performance Manager, you will:

• Assist the Senior Management Team with all aspects of operational and project delivery performance

• Support the Projects Team in delivering a customer focused service through robust processes, procedures and management information

• Produce management information that identifies trends, risks and opportunities for continuous improvement

• Develop, track and monitor lifecycle, variation and project programmes

• Implement and embed approved business improvement initiatives

• Support the operational unit in achieving and exceeding its annual performance targets

• Agree, manage and monitor key commercial and operational targets

• Escalate areas requiring immediate attention or additional focus to the Senior Management Team

• Drive, implement and embed contract improvement plans

• Work collaboratively with project, commercial, operational and customer teams to ensure programmes remain achievable and accurately reported


Experience and qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience working within a planning, scheduling, programme management or performance focused environment

• Project management experience within construction, building services, facilities management or a similar technical environment

• Strong reporting, analytical and programme monitoring skills

• The ability to interpret performance information and present clear recommendations to senior stakeholders

• A demonstrable commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety and customer service

• Experience leading by example and promoting a positive safety and customer focused culture

• A working knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory regulations, industry standards and codes of practice

• An HNC or equivalent qualification in an appropriate discipline is desirable

• The ability to successfully complete an Enhanced DBS check
