Social Strategist

eTeam is looking for a Social Strategist

Job description

Job Title: Social Intelligence Strategist

Location: Shoreditch (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite, Monday is must)

Duration: 12 months contract initially with possible extension

The Opportunity:

  • This is a founding role: you'll build client's social intelligence function from the ground up. You'll sit at the intersection of culture, data, and creativity — reading real-time social conversation, sentiment, and cultural signals, and turning them into sharp, actionable insight that shapes what client's social and influencer team plans, creates, and says next.
  • You won't just report on what's happening, you'll help decide what client does about it. This is for someone who lives on social, spots a cultural shift before it trends, and can turn a scroll session into a strategic brief that changes a campaign.

What You Will Do:

Social listening & insight

  • Monitor social conversation to catch emerging trends, sentiment shifts, risks, and opportunities across client's audiences, products, and cultural moments.
  • Turn raw signal into clear narratives and implications that Strategy, Content, and Community teams can act on immediately.
  • Tap into the UK, German and French Insiders program with Creator Professionals for grounded insight on products and content.

Strategic partnership

  • Partner with Social Strategy to bring timely insight and cultural context into audience strategy, content narratives, and channel planning.
  • Feed quarterly planning, campaign development, and messaging reviews with insight that sharpens focus and prioritization.

Creative enablement

  • Turn insight into fuel for creative ideation and content optimization, helping client show up in the moments that matter.
  • Surface in-flight and post-campaign learnings that make the next brief smarter than the last.

Collaboration

  • Work with Global, Care, and Response teams to spot recurring themes, risks, and pain points in social conversation.
  • Partner with centralized measurement teams so qualitative insight complements performance data
  • Build strong relationships across Strategy, Operations, Creative Studio, Influencer, and Comms so social insight gets used.

What you need to succeed:

  • Social listening experience, in-house or agency, with a genuine finger on the pulse of culture and online conversation.
  • Comfort moving between quant and qual data, reading the numbers and the nuance, and knowing when each matters.
  • A storyteller's instinct: the ability to turn data and signal into narratives that spark and sharpen creative work.
  • Sharp organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities
  • A collaborative, positive operator who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
