Construction Training and Development Specialist (Housebuilder)

UNYK Solutions is looking for a Construction Training and Development Specialist (Housebuilder)

Job description

Construction Training & Development Specialist Midlands/South of England

Upto £60,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Bens

You've spent years on site. You know what good build quality actually looks like, you've probably shown a few junior colleagues the ropes along the way, and you're ready for something different — a role where developing people becomes the job, not just something you fit in around it.

One of the UK's leading residential housebuilders is looking for someone exactly like you.

This is a genuine step for an experienced Site Manager, Senior Site Manager, Build Manager or Construction Manager who wants to step away from the daily pressure of running a single development, while staying properly connected to site — working across multiple regions rather than one patch, and using your experience to influence standards and build quality business-wide, not just on your own patch.

You don't need to already be working in a formal training role. What you do need is a strong housebuilding background, real site credibility, and a track record of coaching, mentoring or developing the people around you — whether that's been official or just something you've naturally ended up doing.

You'll split your time three ways: designing training that actually reflects real site practice, getting out on sites to coach people where the work happens, and delivering structured training days, inductions and toolbox talks. You'll own your own training calendar and have real input into how the business develops its site and production teams.

What you'll bring:

• A strong occupational background in residential housebuilding, with practical experience on live developments

• Real site management or technical construction credibility — this has to be genuine, hands-on background

• A track record mentoring, coaching or developing Assistant Site Managers, trainees or junior colleagues

• Experience delivering toolbox talks, inductions, technical briefings or structured training

• The confidence to engage experienced construction professionals, whether that's one-to-one on site or in front of a room

• Strong organisation and planning skills — you'll be trusted to run your own diary across a varied regional workload

• A full UK driving licence and the willingness to travel nationally, including regular overnight stays • Bonus points if you know your way around CITB, the Apprenticeship Levy or construction qualification frameworks — but this can be learned

What's in it for you:

• Up to £60,000 basic salary

• Car allowance • Bonus scheme

• A genuinely new career direction that still uses everything you already know about construction

• The chance to shape training and development standards for a well-known, established housebuilder

• Based in the Midlands or the South, with national travel

If you've ever thought "I'd be good at training people up" while you were the one showing someone how it's really done on site, this is that opportunity.
