Job description
McTaggart Construction is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support our projects across West and Central Scotland. If you want to work in a team that values honesty, consistency and community, this could be a great fit for you.
You’ll play an important part in keeping our projects on track — supporting cost control, contracts, reporting and building good working relationships with teams on site and in the office. It’s a role where your work makes a real difference.
What you’ll do:
- Support cost control and financial reporting across several housing projects.
- Work closely with our Operations and Procurement teams to keep projects moving smoothly.
- Help manage valuations, budgets and forecasting.
- Build strong working relationships with subcontractors, partners and colleagues.
- Contribute to meetings and ensure contract requirements are met.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in commercially managing medium-sized projects or multiple smaller projects in their current role.
- A relevant degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and other standard systems.
- Someone who communicates clearly and works well with others.
- Strong organisational skills and a practical approach to problem‑solving.
- A full UK driving licence.
How to Apply:
At McTaggart, we value diversity and welcome applications from all backgrounds. If you’re self-motivated, results-driven, and ready to inspire others, we’d love to hear from you. McTaggart Construction are proud to be a Real Living Wage employer.
