HGV Class 1 Driver - Nightshift - Double-Manned Trunking - Dalkeith / Newtongrange

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Dalkeith / Newtongrange.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for ongoing nightshift work with excellent rates of pay and long-term opportunities.

Working as part of a two-person crew, you will complete trunking runs between distribution centres, ensuring goods are transported safely, securely, and efficiently.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as an LGV Driver, Category C+E Driver, or Trunking Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £19.10 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Nightshift
• Start times between 5:30pm and 6:30pm

Overtime:

• Overtime paid after 8 hours

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will work:

• Completing double-manned trunking runs between distribution centres
• Carrying out vehicle safety checks before and after each shift
• Ensuring all goods are transported safely and securely
• Completing all required paperwork accurately
• Following Drivers' Hours and Tachograph Regulations
• Working closely with your driving partner to complete deliveries efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism at all times

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence
• A valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 1 driving experience
• Good communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious
• Ability to work well as part of a team

Desirable Experience:

• Previous trunking experience is advantageous but not essential

Training:

• Full paid site induction provided
• Ongoing support throughout your assignment
