About the Role

Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Night Drivers for a well-established client based in Baildon (BD17).

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for straightforward trunking work with consistent start times and a regular route. The role involves a nightly trunk to the Palletforce Hub in Burton upon Trent, making it ideal for drivers who prefer predictable, no-fuss night shifts.

\n

This position provides ad hoc holiday and sickness cover, with ongoing opportunities available for reliable drivers.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Complete nightly trunking runs safely and efficiently

\n

• Transport palletised freight between distribution centres

\n

• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks

\n

• Complete transport paperwork accurately

\n

• Maintain high standards of vehicle care and road safety

\n

• Comply with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations

\n\n

Requirements

\n

\n
• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence

\n

• Minimum 12 months' Class 1 driving experience

\n

• Recent Class 1 driving experience within the last 6 months

\n

• Driver CPC Qualification Card

\n

• Digital Tachograph Card

\n

• Maximum 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only)

\n

• Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
