HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver

HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver £16.00 per Hour Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver to join a well-established environmental services company based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver looking for ongoing, full-time work with a reputable business.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday

• 5:00 / 6:00 starts

• 34 nights out per week (overnight allowance applicable where relevant)

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for operating a tanker vehicle to collect and transport non-hazardous liquid waste from commercial and industrial customers across the UK.

This is a customer-facing role where professionalism, reliability and a strong focus on safety are essential. You will carry out daily vehicle checks, ensure all collections are completed safely and efficiently, and maintain accurate paperwork throughout each shift.

Please note: This is a non-hazardous tanker role, therefore an ADR qualification is not required.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence

• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card

• Valid Digital Tachograph Card

• Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience

• Tanker experience is advantageous but not essential as training may be provided

• Comfortable with regular overnight stays (34 nights out each week)

• Good knowledge of UK driving hours and tachograph regulations

• Reliable, safety-conscious and customer-focused attitude
