An opportunity has arisen for a Head of English at Southall School. They will be responsible for leading English across the school.

We welcome visits and applications from professionals who work in a special needs or mainstream setting (primary or secondary) who have a passion for SEND.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the English curriculum and its development.
  • Be responsible for the high quality delivery of our systematic synthetic phonics offer across the school.
  • Lead on quality assurance of the delivery of English across the school.
  • Be responsible for all English accreditation.
  • Be part of the middle leadership team.

The postholder will be paid at mainscale/upper pay scale. They will also receive 1 SEN point (currently £2,787) and a TLR2 (currently £5,607).
