Product Manager (Cyber & Secure Products)

iO Associates is looking for a Product Manager (Cyber & Secure Products)

Job description

Job Title: Product Manager (Cyber & Secure Products)

Salary: Competitive Package

Clearance Required: Candidates must be eligible for Enhanced DV (eDV) clearance

Location: Fully remote during the initial onboarding and vetting phase. Once your full clearance is granted, you will be expected to work onsite in Cheltenham

Are you an experienced Product Manager with a background in cyber security or complex technical environments?

We are recruiting on behalf of an established technical consultancy specializing in high-assurance defence and security solutions. They are seeking a Product Manager to guide the direction, roadmap, and core capabilities of their software products.

In this role, you will work across business strategy, customer requirements, and technical architecture to turn operational challenges into practical, scalable, and reusable product solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Own, define, and communicate clear product roadmaps that align customer requirements, commercial goals, and long-term technical sustainability.
  • Problem-Solving & Innovation: Engage directly with internal stakeholders and end-users to understand root operational challenges, championing reusable product capabilities over bespoke single-use fixes.
  • Balanced Prioritisation: Make transparent, value-driven decisions to balance feature delivery, security enhancement, technical debt, and system evergreening.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, architecture, delivery, and commercial teams to shape initiatives without micromanaging technical execution.
  • Product Integrity: Champion automation, usability, observability, and maintainability across all product components.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven Product Leadership: Demonstrated experience as a Product Manager / Product Owner handling complex, high-tech software or platform products.
  • Cyber Security Expertise: Direct domain experience in Cyber Security (Cross-Domain solutions expertise is a major plus!).
  • Outcome-Focused Mindset: Deep understanding of user-centered design, product lifecycle management, and translating client requests into core features.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to bridge technical, operational, and commercial discussions seamlessly.
  • Regulatory/Government Context: Experience working within defence, government, or highly regulated sectors is highly desirable.
