An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Freelance Architectural Technician to join a highly regarded interior design studio, supporting the delivery of luxury hospitality and hotel projects. Working on a remote or hybrid basis, you'll collaborate closely with the Lead Architect, producing high-quality technical packages and helping deliver beautifully crafted interiors from technical design through to completion.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on design-led projects and is confident taking ownership of technical delivery while coordinating with consultants, contractors and the wider design team.


This is initially a freelance/contract role, with the potential to be extended/become permanent.


Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed technical drawing packages and construction documentation for high-end hospitality and hotel fit-out projects.
  • Support projects from RIBA Stage 3 through to completion, ensuring technical accuracy throughout.
  • Coordinate architectural, interiors, MEP and specialist contractor information to maintain design integrity.
  • Prepare tender and construction packages, drawing registers and technical specifications.
  • Review drawings, identify design or coordination issues and propose practical solutions.
  • Collaborate with interior designers, consultants and contractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Assist with planning documentation and statutory approvals where required.
  • Support value engineering exercises, balancing design quality with project budgets.
  • Attend design team meetings and provide regular project progress updates.
  • Assist with site coordination, installation support and snagging when required.


Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working on hospitality, hotel or high-end interior fit-out projects.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and Auto CAD is essential.
  • Experience producing detailed technical packages and construction information.
  • Knowledge of RIBA Stage 3 onwards and technical project delivery.
  • Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Understanding of LOD 300 standards would be advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage workload independently while working collaboratively within a design team.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
