In-House Legal Counsel — Top Private Capital Fund – 3+ PQE, London

The Business

With strategies spanning private investment grade credit, asset-based lending, public markets, infrastructure debt, CLOs, direct lending, and opportunistic credit, this is a business with outstanding breadth and sophistication. They also provide investment management services to major insurers globally, deploying world-class capabilities in investment grade private credit on behalf of policyholders.

The Role

You will join a highly collaborative legal and compliance team, working across three core business lines: Liquid Credit Strategies, Private Corporate Credit, and Infrastructure & Asset Based Credit and will interface with origination, portfolio management, investor relations, fund accounting, tax, operations, and technology teams, gaining a truly commercial, enterprise-wide perspective.

The Candidate

You will be a qualified lawyer with at least 3 years' PQE and have prior experience in capital markets / securitisation / high yield bonds and / or restructuring. Beyond technical excellence, you will bring:

• Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to operate with autonomy
• Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to unfamiliar situations
• Strong interpersonal skills and the flexibility to work across diverse teams
• A conscientious work ethic and the motivation to be close to the business
