Senior Project Manager - Data Governance & Cyber Programme

Contract: 18 Months split into 3 6 month contracts

Day Rate: £500 - £525 p/d OUTSIDE IR35

Location: Hybrid, with travel to Stratford ideally 1–2 days per week

Start Date: As soon as possible

The Opportunity



A large, complex organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a key portfolio of work focused on treating organisational data as a strategic asset


.
The role sits across the organisation’s Data and Cyber functions and forms part of a wider Security Improvement Programme. You will take ownership of several interdependent workstreams designed to improve how data is identified, classified, governed, protected and managed across the organisatio


n.
This is not a generic project management role or a deeply technical architecture position. It requires someone who can operate confidently between business change, data governance, cyber security and programme delive

Key Responsibili

  • tiesTake the outputs of the Data Asset Discovery exercise and translate them into an actionable delivery road
  • map.Lead and coordinate multiple workstreams across Data, Cyber, Technology, Product and the wider busin
  • ess.Support the identification, classification and assignment of ownership for critical data ass
  • ets.Establish practical governance processes covering data ownership, lifecycle management, retention, protection and acc
  • ess.Build an enduring data governance capability that becomes embedded into day-to-day business operati
  • ons.Strengthen governance around data access, including role-based access controls and the principle of least privil
  • ege.Support information protection, data clean-up and knowledge management initiati
  • ves.Coordinate the implementation of relevant SharePoint governance capabilit
  • ies.Help define information lifecycle and retention requirements, including appropriate retention peri
  • ods.Support business continuity planning by identifying the datasets that underpin critical services and agreeing appropriate recovery priorit
  • ies.Work closely with senior Data and Cyber leadership to ensure priorities remain alig
