Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour
Job Type: Ongoing Holiday & Sickness Cover
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Days

About the Role\n

Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Day Drivers for a leading transport and logistics company based in Wakefield.

\n

The role includes a mixture of nationwide full-load deliveries and local multi-drop work, completing a maximum of six deliveries per shift. You'll be driving modern Euro 6, DVS-compliant vehicles with curtain-side and tail-lift trailers.

\n

Drivers who demonstrate reliability and professionalism will become preferred drivers for future holiday and sickness cover.

Key Responsibilities\n

• \n Complete nationwide full-load deliveries

\n

• \n Carry out local multi-drop deliveries (maximum 6 drops)

\n

• \n Operate curtain-side and tail-lift trailers safely

\n

• \n Complete daily vehicle safety checks

\n

• \n Ensure delivery paperwork is completed accurately

\n

• \n Provide excellent customer service

\n

• \n Comply with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations

\nRequirements\n

• \n Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence

\n

• \n Driver CPC Qualification Card

\n

• \n Digital Tachograph Card

\n

• \n Previous Class 1 driving experience

\n

• \n Maximum 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only)

\n
