We are currently looking for a number of senior support workers across south wales to join one our national children provider clients and need you! Key Responsibilities Direct Care: Provide trauma-informed, person-centered support in a therapeutic children's residential setting.Leadership: Assist the home manager in mentoring support workers, leading shifts, and ensuring high standards of care.Safeguarding: Protect young people from harm and strictly adhere to child protection procedures.Administration: Assist with shift planning, accurate record-keeping, and care plan reviews.Community Engagement: Facilitate leisure and educational activities to help young people build life skills. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]Requirements Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent in Health & Social Care).Experience: Previous experience working in a residential care setting with children or vulnerable individuals.Licensing: A full, manual UK driving license is strictly required.Competencies: Strong resilience, communication skills, and an open-minded approach to therapeutic care. [ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 ]Typical Working Conditions Hours: Shift work is required, including evenings, weekends, and on-call or sleep-in duties.Pay & Benefits: Senior roles often offer competitive hourly rates (e.g., £15.25£16.25/hr depending on the region) plus additional sleep-in allowances.
