Product Owner | Scale-Up | Up to £70,000

We're working with a fast-growing, mission-driven consumer tech business to find a Product Owner to join their expanding product organisation at a pivotal moment. Following a major replatforming, they're building out the connective tissue between product intent and engineering execution and this role is central to that.

The role

This is a newly created position that sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and quality. You won't own strategy or prioritisation — that sits with the PM team. What you will own is making sure great ideas become great, shippable software.

Day to day you'll be translating PM requirements into engineering-ready tickets, leading backlog refinement, driving UAT, surfacing technical risks early, and coaching PMs and Engineering Managers on what good looks like. You'll also be building the standards and templates that raise the bar across squads.

This business is serious about AI-augmented delivery as daily practice. They want someone already using AI tooling across the SDLC: ticket writing, acceptance criteria, edge case identification, test generation, documentation.

What they're looking for

• 3–5+ years as a TPM, BA, Product Owner or similar in agile product teams
• Strong technical fluency discussing APIs, evaluating architectural trade-offs
• Experience in consumer-facing digital products; marketplace or e-commerce a plus
• Detail-obsessed, structured thinker, low ego
• Genuinely using AI daily and with strong opinions about where it adds real leverage
