Senior Brand Designer (Built Environment)

DMCG Global is looking for a Senior Brand Designer (Built Environment)

Job description

Senior Brand Designer | Built Environment

Central London | £55,000-£60,000 | Permanent | Studio-based

I'm partnering with an internationally recognised design studio on the search for a Senior Brand Designer to join a growing team working at the intersection of brand, architecture and the built environment.

This isn't a traditional branding role, nor is it a pure environmental graphics or wayfinding position.

Instead, it's an opportunity to help shape places through branding, creating identities and experiences that live within physical environments across hospitality, retail, mixed-use developments, destinations and lifestyle projects.

Working alongside architects, interior designers and strategists, you'll develop brands from the earliest stages of a project, translating ideas into experiences through environmental graphics, placemaking, installations, wayfinding and branded environments.

What they're looking for

More than anything, they're looking for a conceptual designer.

Someone who enjoys asking questions, building narratives, developing ideas and presenting them with confidence, rather than simply executing finished concepts.

They're far more interested in how you think than whether you've spent years producing fabrication drawings or signage packages.

The ideal person will enjoy collaborating across disciplines and seeing projects evolve from early strategy through to delivery.

Backgrounds that could work

This is deliberately a broad search. You might currently be working in:

  • Brand Design
  • Property Branding
  • Placemaking
  • Environmental Graphic Design (EGD)
  • Branded Environments
  • Spatial Design
  • Experience Design
  • Retail or Hospitality Branding
  • Architecture Graphics
  • Destination Branding

If you've worked alongside architects, interior designers or multidisciplinary design teams, even better.

What will make you stand out

We're looking for portfolios that demonstrate:

  • Strong conceptual thinking
  • Storytelling and design rationale
  • Brand strategy translated into physical space
  • Confidence presenting ideas to clients
  • Research, process and creative development, not just polished final visuals

The essentials

  • Permanent opportunity
  • £55,000-£60,000
  • Central London
  • Five days a week in the studio (this is a firm requirement)
  • Applicants should already be based within commuting distance of London or planning to relocate

If your work sits somewhere between branding, architecture and experience design, and you enjoy creating ideas that people can physically interact with, I'd love to hear from you.
