HGV Class 2 Driver Colchester (CO4) £17.50 per hour | Overtime Available | Temp to Perm | Immediate Start
CDS Labour is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, independent family-run foodservice wholesaler supplying fresh, chilled, frozen, grocery, and non-food products to hospitality businesses across the UK.
We are looking for experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to join the transport team in Colchester (CO4) . This is a temp-to-perm opportunity , with permanent employment offered after 12 successful weeks .
The Role As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for completing multi-drop deliveries of foodservice products to a variety of customers, including:
Restaurants
Pubs
Schools
Care homes
Other hospitality businesses
Key Responsibilities Drive a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle on planned delivery routes
Complete multi-drop deliveries safely and efficiently
Load and unload goods using the appropriate equipment
Deliver orders accurately and on time
Provide excellent customer service at every delivery
Complete daily vehicle checks and comply with all driver regulations
Requirements Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
Previous multi-drop delivery experience preferred
Good communication and customer service skills
A positive, reliable attitude with a strong work ethic
Must meet the company's insurance criteria (licence check required before interview)
