Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver (Days) Ad-Hoc & Ongoing Location: Preston Salary: £14.5 per hour | £16.25 with Holiday Pay Overtime after 8h £21.75/h or £24.37/h with holiday pay Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Ad-Hoc Shifts: Day Shifts Monday to Friday (varied start times available)About the RoleCareermakers Recruitment are currently recruiting HGV Class2 Day Drivers on behalf of our client based in Preston . Due to continued growth and peak demand, we have both ongoing and ad-hoc day shifts available to suit a range of availability and working preferences.You will be responsible for nationwide deliveries and collections, with a focus on safety, compliance, and delivering excellent service.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out deliveries and collections across the UK during the day.Ensure loads are safely strapped and secure.Complete daily vehicle checks and report any issues.Maintain clear communication with the transport office.Accurately complete paperwork and represent the client professionally.RequirementsValid Class 2 licence with current CPC and Digi Tacho card .Minimum 12 Months Class 2 experience in the UK.Strong understanding of EU driver hours and regulations.No more than 6 points on your licence and no major endorsements (e.g. DR10, IN10, TT99).Good communication skills and a flexible, customer-focused approach.Able to work independently and maintain professional standards.What We OfferChoice of ad-hoc or ongoing work to suit your lifestyle.Weekly pay through the agency.Opportunity to work with a reputable client and a supportive transport team.TPBN1_UKTJ
