HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers (LTD) Location: Burton-upon-Trent area
Position: Ongoing Tramping Work / Flexible Shift Patterns (4-on-4-off, MonFri, or Weekend Blocks)
Pay Rates (LTD):
Days: £19.50 / hr

Nights: £21.50 / hr

Saturday: £22.50 / hr

Sunday: £24.50 / hr

Night Out Allowance: £25.00 per night tax-free / non-taxable equivalent

About the Role We are currently seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Drivers for long-term, ongoing work with a major logistics provider operating out of the Burton-upon-Trent area.
This role involves nationwide trunking and trunking/distribution runs, utilizing clean box trailers with minimal manual handling required. Multiple shift schedules are available to fit around your preferred working patternincluding standard MondayFriday tramping, 4-on-4-off rotas, or fixed weekend shifts.
Duties include:
Long-distance trunking and planned distribution across major UK routes

Clean, straightforward box trailer work with minimal manual labor

Managing required rest periods, daily vehicle checks, and digital tachograph logging

Keeping cab standards high during multi-day tramping stints

Key Requirements Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence

Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

Full flexibility for multi-night tramping stays

Sound understanding of EU Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive rules

Reliable, professional, and confident driving long distances nationwide
