HGV Class 2 Driver Newly Qualified Drivers Welcome

Locations available: Bridgwater, Yeovil & Evercreech
Pay Rate: £20.00£30.00 per hour
Job Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Start Time: 6:15 am daily

We are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a well-established and supportive team based in Bridgwater, Yeovil, and Evercreech. Whether you're an experienced driver or have recently gained your Class 2 licence, this is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent Monday-to-Friday role with full training provided, competitive pay of £20.00£30.00 per hour, and optional Saturday overtime. You'll work as part of a team, assisting loaders on planned daily routes while delivering a reliable and professional service.

Key Responsibilities

Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle on planned daily routes

Working as part of a team with loaders to complete daily collections efficiently

Assisting the loaders by getting out of the vehicle and helping to load it throughout the day

Carrying out vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety

Completing relevant paperwork and daily records

Following all health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence

Valid Driver CPC qualification

Valid Digital Tachograph (Digi Tacho) card

No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)

Good level of physical fitness, as the role involves regular manual handling and assisting with loading duties throughout the day

Positive attitude and strong reliability

Ability to work well as part of a team
