Our client is seeking a passionate and reliable Commis Chef to join their busy catering team within a dynamic school environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working as part of a team and thrives in a fast-paced setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, helping to deliver high-quality food and excellent service to students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation and cooking of fresh, seasonal ingredients
• Supporting the service of both hot and cold meals
• Catering for a range of dietary requirements and food allergies
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas
• Ensuring excellent customer service at all times
• Supporting the wider catering team with general kitchen duties as required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to work
• A genuine interest in food preparation and catering
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety

MUST HAVEs:

• previous catering/cooking experience in a similar environment
• be aware of allergens & dietary requirements
• be flexible with duties & tasks
