HGV Class 2 Driver

HGV Class 2 Driver Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a leading steel distribution business based in Cradley Heath. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional driver looking for ongoing, full-time work with a consistent weekday schedule.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday

• 6:00am starts

• Day shifts with regular working hours

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering steel products to commercial customers, manufacturers and construction sites across the region. You will be driving a flatbed vehicle, ensuring all loads are safely secured before transport and delivered on time.

This role requires a strong focus on safety and load security. Experience using ratchet straps and securing steel loads is highly desirable.

Duties Include

• Delivering steel products to customer sites

• Operating a flatbed HGV Class 2 vehicle

• Securing loads using straps and other approved restraint equipment

• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks

• Completing delivery paperwork accurately

• Providing a professional and courteous service to customers

• Complying with all UK driving hours, tachograph and health & safety regulations

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence

• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card

• Valid Digital Tachograph Card

• Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience

• Flatbed driving and load strapping experience is highly desirable

• Good understanding of load security and safe transport practices

• Good knowledge of UK driving hours and tachograph regulations

• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude
